nmidSmokeping version 3.0.3 has been released

This update fixes some issues with Cacti version 0.8.8b.

Newer releases of Cacti are not yet supported.

Yes there will be. The Cacti 1.x compatible version will be renamed to CereusSmokeping and contain a few new features ( i.e. for setting up slave smokeping servers).

I don't know how old this Thread is, but I am using cacti 1.2.15 and I am planning to integret nmidSmokeping to this cacti. However I read that this plugin is for
cacti < 1.0 Version, meaning that I better wait till the CereusSmokeping is released?

Hi

nmidSmokeping has not been developed any further. Please use the "AdvancedPing" Template as an alternative.

CereusSmokeping development was cancelled for now.
