The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, 450 West 37th Street

The Chelsea Symphony is thrilled to return to The DiMenna Center for Classical Music for the opening series of its twelfth season, Sea Change, featuring music inspired by the natural world. This season showcases compelling works with a focus on nature and environmental stewardship.

Conducted by Matthew Aubin and Mark Seto, TCS welcomes back two soloists to the stage: Phil Rashkin is the featured performer on the Ralph Vaughan Williams' Oboe Concerto on Friday's concert and Elise Frawley solos on Sally Beamish's Viola Concerto No. 2, "The Seafarer," on Saturday's concert. Both concerts open with the world premiere of TCS composer Tim Kiah's Endangered Song, a concerto for orchestra inspired by the desperate survival of endangered animals, and close with Claude Debussy's lush tour-de-force La Mer.

TCS is thrilled to begin a season-long collaboration with urban naturalist Keith Michael and NYC Wild! beginning with September's nature walk at Fort Tilden (Queens) to compliment this concert series. This walk will take place only on Saturday - visit our Eventbrite page to purchase your concert ticket and add on this special, curated experience!

Concerts will be held at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, 450 West 37th Street
