The Inspiration

A French Castle Destination Wedding in White and Gold

Karol & Stephanie, owners of Nas & Co's Events Events, wedding planners in Paris, wanted to organize and execute an inspirational wedding shoot that would restore glitter, often considered obsolete, to its glory. Also, as they reserve their services for a niche of classical brides with a twist of originality, their aim was to create an atmosphere that would mix elegance with authentic touches.

For this editorial shoot, Karol & Stephanie imagined a wedding organized in a medieval French castle, the Château de la Roche-Guyon, situated one hour away from Paris, at the gates of Normandy. The situation of this castle is really dreamy: overlooking the river Seine from the top of the hill.

They imagined this wedding for an American couple, Brenda and Brandon, whose dream would be to tie the knot in France. This country would be at the center of their relationship as Brenda and Brandon would have had their first rendezvous in a French restaurant where they would have become passionate about French gastronomy and French wines. As Brandon would be a real gentleman, he would have made his proposal during one of their travels to Paris. France would then be the only place where their wedding would take place.

Gorgeous Details

The choice of the fluid and glamourous wedding dress, the authentic location of the wedding dinner, the bridal hair and unusual accessories such as head and thigh jewelry, the pampa grass included in the bouquet were all thought to add to the original style of this wedding inspiration. They wanted an elegant and timeless color palette that would pair perfectly with glitter so they focused on white, champagne, beige, nude, and gold.

Having matching stationery for the wedding was also crucial for them, so they doubled their efforts to collaborate with Atelier Chichi Pompon, a glittery invitation suite, playing on the transparency of other wedding materials.

So as to bring out their purely authentic and French appearance, they planned to organize the wedding dinner in the stables of the castle with walls adorned with old stones and a floor made of cobblestones. One of the things to notice about the stables of this castle is the fact that they were built based on the ones of the Château de Versailles and the Château de Chantilly.

As far as the dinner decoration is concerned, they chose a white painted wooden table to keep the genuine look, embellished with a soft shimmering table runner and a creative floral centerpiece with touches of gold. The tableware was also chosen with care as it was vintage French porcelain. The total glitter theme was very important and to add even more glitter to this table, Karol & Stephanie made the glitter glasses themselves.

Outdoor Summer Wedding

As this inspiration is focused on a summer wedding, after the dinner, the wedding cake would be tasted outside, in the courtyard, to enjoy the beautiful French summer evenings. In order to entertain the guests and reveal the French and glittery side of the wedding, Karol and Stephanie have planned a Champagne bar (what could be more French than Champagne) and a body painting animation.

Ultimately, the aim of this editorial was to show the brides that they could have an elegant and completely sparkling personalized wedding with a unique decoration that would make an impression.
