The RRDtool version that came with that installer did not include SVG output. BSOD2600 will get a good RRDtool release for the next version.

In the meantime you have two easy options:

1) switch your templates to PNG, taks 10 seconds
2) upgrade to the official RRDtool 1.8 version at RRDtool.org.

I found an error while trying to install cacti 1.2.22 using all-in-one installer:

"Error opening file for writing \cacti\.gitignore" i can see a dot after the backslash, can it be the problem? how to sort it out.

Seems that have any kind of issue to write this kind of format on my windows server 2022, cant see the limitation related to the rights because am running as admin;

Also the event viewer does not display any logs at the stage the error occur;

I tested it on my windows 10 with no any problem;

Have to see why is this happening on my windows server 2022

Hi mates,

any thoughts about the issue below?


I have the cacti installed and operational on my windows server 2022;

But there is a new problem occurring on the database (mysqld), it´s consuming 93% of the cpu and when that happens the collection of the traffic stop and the graphs of my devices display blank spaces;

Understand with that that the poller stops working because the server can´t respond due to this high cpu usage;

I decided to increase the Cores on my virtual machine, worked fine for some hours, be the problem raised again, the database is still killing the CPU;

That said, would like to know from you if there is something that can be done within the cacti or database in order to sort this issue.

Run this (you will have to translate to Windows lingo or install Cygwin or something

That will show you who is hammering your server and what the commands are. My suspicion is that you are either running with too many threads or too many processes.

Its because the old installer is moved to the Archive folder when a new version comes out. Just go to
http://www.cacti.net/info/downloads
and click the link for the new version, instead of clicking an old link in a forum post. Or if you need an old version for some reason, just visit
https://files.cacti.net/cacti/windows/Archive/
