WINNER: Fast Scrap #1
WINNER: Fast Scrap #1
CONGRATULATIONS TO: BeatrizS ($5 gift certificate coming your way!!)
I put all of the names from the fast scrap #1 gallery into a hat (well, onto a pile on my couch) and pulled BeatrizS's name from the pile. I think my cat was getting worried about all of the shuffling of tiny papers... Maybe I'll let him choose one next time
Thanks for playing ladies!!
For this fast scrap, you'll be creating a little gift boxes (as shown below). I will post the instructions in this thread, and you may ask any questions you have (like a mini-class).
Suggestions: (1) use a thicker-weight patterned paper, or a sheet of cardstock, (2) embellish last (saves time)
Rules: You have one hour to complete this project and upload your image into the Fast Scrap #1 gallery. A winner will be chosen randomly from all entries that make it into the gallery by 5pm EST.
Have fun!!

Too tricky for my 20 minutes... I'll be in on the next one!! Thanks!
Re: Fast Scrap #1
Step #2:
The dotted lines on my diagram are where you will need to score (or fold) your paper into neat lines.
Measure halfway down (vertically) at 5 inches and score across.

Re: Fast Scrap #1
Hahahaha!!! I always flunked the tests where you figured out how the flattened paper would look when it was in box form!!
I wonder, sometimes, if we ever give God a headache.
Re: Fast Scrap #1
Step #3:
Measure (horizontally) to halfway across the width of your paper (at 2.5 inches) and make a small pencil mark.
On my diagram this is the tip of the triangle at the top of the diagram. Repeat instructions for the tip of the triangle at the bottom of the page.

Step #4:
Score (or fold) from the marked tip of the triangle to each of the edges where you scored across the paper (at the 5 inch spot)
On my diagram this will be the left and right sides of the triangle (both the top triangle & the bottom triangle need to be scored).

Step #5:
Fold all of the scored lines inward (so everything comes together in the center to form a triangular box). Here is a photo that may help describe that step.

Step #6:
Adhere the edges. On my diagram, I showed where to put the adhesive in blue. You'll need adhesive on the edges to hold it together.
Once you adhere, you can punch a hole in each side for the ribbon. I used my crop-o-dile, but any hole punch should work.

Re: Fast Scrap #1
I have a question...who's gonna come keep my boss busy so he quits walking by my office???
Re: Fast Scrap #1
Step #7:
Thread ribbon through the holes and embellish as you wish. I kept mine simple (pop-dotted flowers & rhinestones) because I wanted to make sure it could be accomplished in an hour
Don't forget to post here if you have any questions!! Have fun!!
