aheatfan's Summer Movie Layout Challenge **Closed** Winner Announced
Thank you all for taking this challenge - the random winner as selected by the Wheel of Names is - hsblair. Please contact JESSICA@ACHERRYONTOP to claim your prize.
And action.....My series of challenges and games are ALL ABOUT THE MOVIES. I love the movies, especially movie quotes, movie scores, movie costumes and movie posters. Once upon a time, my entire office was decorated with movie posters.
For this challenge, you will be picking ONE of the following movie posters and creating a layout based on inspiration from the poster. It can be the design, the colors, the font, the objects, you name it. I must be able to see the inspiration though. Here are the list of summer movie posters:
https://www.imdb.com/list/ls001815906/
For my example, I went with "Dog Day Afternoon" to show the passage of time of my little guy (not so little anymore) and the wish I have for him. Post your layout AND your movie poster in this thread. Here is my example:
The Guidelines:
Layouts Only - Paper or digital
Must be a new layout and only ONE entry per person
No Combining with any other challenge, except that you may combine with the NSD 25 Items Challenge.
Please post all entries to this thread.
Deadline for entries is Monday, May 15, at Midnight Eastern Time.
Winner will be chosen randomly from all entries.
The prize for this challenge is the My Happy Place Collection generously donated by Doodlebug

I chose Wet Hot American Summer and used the American Flag pattern on the title, for my son's military layout...

Re: aheatfan's Summer Movie Layout Challenge
LOVED this challenge!
I chose "The Hot Spot" and used the design of the poster for inspiration. Loved that the "title" was in the middle, with "text" on the very top, followed by "pictures" going across the poster.
This is my take on it:

Re: aheatfan's Summer Movie Layout Challenge
Well I had a blast creating this layout! I selected the movie Meatballs because I have some summer camp pictures that had been waiting to be scrapped forever. I had so much fun putting this together. Thank you for hosting such a fun creative challenge!!
