'Building the

next generation

of NATURE

CONSERVATIONISTS'

To be a 'conservationist' or 'environmentalist' doesn't just mean following a career as a field biologist or a campaigner. We believe that a passion for nature can flow through anyone's life, whatever their day-job. We want to inspire today's young people to a long-term belief in the wonder of the living world, which will shape their dreams and actions however their life turns out. Find out more about our plans in Action for Conservation's new five-year strategy (left).

YOUNG PEOPLE

ACT FOR CONSERVATION

We are a group of young people taking action for the natural world. With 56% of UK species in decline and 52% of the general public unaware of the threats facing our wildlife, it is time we let our voices be heard. Find out how to join our youth movement and take action.

TEACHERS

INSPIRE YOUR STUDENTS

Action for Conservation works with secondary schools to inspire and empower students to become the next generation of conservationists. We are passionate about bringing nature into the lives of all young people, regardless of circumstance. Our WildED programme, led by young conservation professionals working in the field, currently runs countrywide in schools in which an average of 49% of pupils are in receipt of pupil premium.

SYSTEMIC CHANGE

RACE FOR NATURE'S RECOVERY

In partnership with Generation SuccessSOS-UK and
Voyage Youth. We worked with over 30 environmental organisations across the UK to tackle the longstanding lack of diversity in the environmental movement. Over 18 months we provided 125 young people from underrepresented backgrounds with a route into the sector through Living Wage work placements and opportunities to influence organisational practices at the highest level.
