Support For Israel Is Giving
Christianity A Bad Name
...along with a few other observations
on current events.
I CAN THINK OF NOTHING better
calculated to destroy the stature and persuasive
power of Christian theology than the treatment, by
many of its prominent nominal representatives, of
modern-day Israel as some kind of especially holy or
deference-meriting state. Think about it.
Young people (especially) will look
at the very deliberate genocidal policies of the
goblins wielding power in Israel and the population
which largely supports them. They will listen to the
heaping helpings of steaming bs served up by those
same goblins and their counterparts and
water-carriers here in the US about it all, largely
(and transparently) dished out in order to keep the
picture confusing and good people frozen while the
endlessly-abused Palestinian population of Gaza
reaches starvation and silently disappears forever.
Seeing and hearing those things, these
young people
will gag and turn away. They will conclude that the
"Christianity" on display is barbaric, or a psy-op
of some kind.
How could they think anything else?
The pseudo-Christians selfishly
supporting Israeli monstrosities in the belief that
doing so will bring on the "Rapture" they desire, or
due to a mentally and morally lazy contentment with
the idea that somehow today's nation of Israel is
the same entity as the one of the same name spoken
of in the Old Testament, are the worst possible
ambassadors for the faith they profess. They should
be ashamed of themselves, and shamed by every
sincere, serious and thoughtful Christian.

YOU'LL RECALL THAT in the last newsletter I
posted
the text and reasoning behind a proposed new
law designed to prohibit those with less than
strict and uncompromised fidelity to America from
holding office in the United States. I was prompted
to do so after numerous Democrat members of the House
brazenly displayed their compromised loyalty to
America by not only voting for a massive giveaway of
borrowed money to Ukraine-- while doing nothing
whatsoever to stem the invasion of America steadily
proceeding at our effectively undefended southern
border-- but waving Ukrainian flags on the floor of
the USD House of Representatives (in violation of
federal law) in celebration of their perfidy. (Lots
of Republican congresscritters voted for this
sell-out, also.)
(Click the image to see the short
video.)
Since then Congress has treated us to
an even more brazen display of compromised loyalty.
This began with a similar massive
giveaway of American treasure (plus interest into
the foreseeable future) to Israel to facilitate its
continued war crime of indiscriminately bombing the
population of Gaza at the same time as the Ukraine
giveaway referred-to above, but in this latter case, the
give-away was not only a betrayal of the American
people but also flatly illegal under several different US laws,
most notably 22 U.S.C. §§ 2799aa AND 2799aa-1 (the
text of which, and discussion of their application
to US aid to Israel, can be found here, in an
article I STRONGLY urge everyone to read through).
Further, this giveaway not only makes
the Unites States (and by extension, the American
people in whose name and under whose nominal control
it acts) complicit in all of Israel's criminal
behavior vis-a-vis the Palestinians, but also drags
the American people closer to being dragged directly
into at least a regional war in the Middle East, if
not what will quickly be a thermonuclear world war.
The idiot or bought and paid for folks in Congress
and the Biden administration don't seem to care (or
are oblivious to this manifest danger), and simply
appear to do what Israel wants them to do, without
question.
But it got much, much worse.
Little more than a week after the
illegal giveaway vote,
Congress approved, with a large bipartisan majority, a bill
seeking to criminalize criticism of Israel, in direct and unmistakable conflict with the
First Amendment. This odious legislation (which was
first introduced in October of 2023, long before
any campus protests had been available or incited
for manipulation into a justification for its
appearance) not only
seeks to create and enforce a thought crime
("anti-Semitism"), but adopts as its formal legal
definition of "anti-Semitism" whatever a
non-American organization-- the International
Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), of which Israel
itself is a part-- deems to be "anti-Semitism".
That IHRA "definition" already includes
various criticisms of Israeli
policies and practices as being supposed
"anti-Semitism", with additional and more detailed
prohibitions able to be added
in the future as the self-serving organization
thinks of or encounters other speech and behaviors which it finds
politically or economically inconvenient to Israel.
Ironically, one of the expressions
already made illegal under
that IHRA "living definition" invoked by the
'Anti-Semitism Awareness Act' is the view that
Israel has inordinate influence over the US
government, a fact soundly confirmed by... the
adoption of the 'Anti-Semitism Awareness Act'...
This enactment by Congress is a step
way beyond the pale.
The US Constitution, and the government
it brought into being, were created by the Unites
States of America as a bulwark for the security of
the American people. To thus disregard and hence
disparage that Constitution's First Amendment
certainly gives aid and comfort to the enemies of
those states and those people, and to do so in the
interest of a foreign state, especially, smacks of treason, in my
view.
***
BY THE WAY, I imagine that many on the
Republican side of the aisle are counting on Biden's
support for Israel costing him much of the very
important "young voter" numbers that were so
significant to the Democrats in 2022, especially. I
think this reliance is ill founded.
For one thing, as reflected in the
events discussed above, Republicans in general have
no better a record on supporting the Israeli
apartheid (and now "Amolek"-genocidal) state than
Democrats, and over the long haul, are worse than
their rivals in that regard. More importantly Donald
Trump's record on that front is glaringly worse.
Unless Trump lays down a marker
convincingly reversing his own prior (and
long-standing) abject prostration before Israel and
its interests and wishes as shown steadily and in
very big, significant ways during his first term,
younger voters will see nothing better about a Trump
victory than the re-election of Biden on the Israel
front. At the same time they will still oppose Trump
on all the same grounds as they had done in the
past.
Thus, absent that Trump reversal on
Israel, those young voters will still turn out for
Biden. Bad as he is, Biden will still be seen as
being, on the whole, the lesser of two evils
compared to Trump, even despite his own abject
prostration before Israel.
(I don't think Trump is going to make
any such reversal. Maybe the Republicans will have a
wake up moment before it is too late and somehow
manage to nominate Vivek Ramaswamy when the time
comes...)

Not Letting This "Crisis" Go To Waste...
...an important action item opportunity.
FRIENDS, THE SPORADIC EASINGS of the despotic measures to
which most of the country has been subjected under
since the onset of the
COVID-19 hobgoblin narrative should not be
allowed to bleed off the head of steam you probably had been developing.
The offenses happened, and they're far from over. Stay hot.
And while you are all warmed up, and while others, if
they're smart, are just as hot, I'd like you to send an email (and
Facebook post, or whatever) with the following content to everyone you
can (with a request that they pass it along, in turn):
[Name], since March of 2020 you've
watched as over-fed state power has been used to literally destroy
classical Western civilization and impose a new despotic paradigm. No
dissent or debate permitted-- no permission or agreement sought.
YOU KNOW where this will end up if the arrogant
state power being used to make this happen isn't radically diminished in
size, influence, resources and popular support, and exposed as an
opportunistic exploiter of legal ignorance (an ignorance which it has
been nurturing in the average mind for decades).
Those things having not yet happened, you
should be quaking in your boots-- and you probably are.
Isn't it time-- and past time-- for you to
begin helping to make those desperately-needed defensive changes take
place? There is only one way these things can happen short of a
who-knows-what we'll-end-up-with explosion of violence. I'm going to
show it to you.
When you're done with that reading, you'll know
what to do next.
BTW, REMEMBER, ALSO, THAT EVERY AMERICAN has lately been given a stark lesson in the fact
that government officials at all levels will lie to you and violate the
law without batting an eye. They will do so any time it serves their agenda, and
you don't call them out for it.
If you know anyone who has been persisting in denial on the
truth about the income tax, you know such nonsense is usually be
grounded in some version or another of, "That can't be true..." or "They
would never do something like that...". Now's the time to put a pin in
that delusional bubble.
As the C19 hoax has starkly shown, "that" certainly CAN be true, and they
certainly WOULD do something
like that.
Use this evidence in all your
outreach efforts.
"It is not the function of our Government to keep the
citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to
keep the Government from falling into error."
-United States Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson
(Deceitful efforts to discourage Americans from
learning the truth about the "income tax")
FOR ALL THE YEARS SINCE 2003 when
CtC was first published, the government has engaged in a
concerted effort to frighten people away from its truths. This
effort involves official government websites and press releases
touting an occasional court ruling that appears to be at odds
with some
CtC-revelation (but without details sufficient to expose the
real substance of the ruling)--
and sometimes even more mendacious behavior.
Are the presentations and
resources offered on this site and in my other work of any value to you?
Tim Kendrick has posted
a video
on YouTube regarding donations. I didn't know what to do about
it to begin with; I don't do what I do intending for anyone to
feel obligated in any way.
But of course, no one IS obligated. I will continue
to make my work freely-available here, and in my books for only
the cost of a cheap paperback.
Thus, even though I post it here below, Tim's very
thoughtful personal resolution and encouragement to others is
just an invitation for consideration by those who may not be
conscious of the fact that I can't do what I do without support.
No one is to feel any pressure from it; if it moves anyone to
act let it be solely because it seems right.
All-in-all, just be the sort of person for others
that you would go to yourself for trustworthy leadership.
Leadership is a challenge. But it's not
complicated, and you can do it.

Are You Having Trouble Spreading The
Word?
SKEPTICISM (SOMETIMES INVOKED BY FEAR) IS TO BE
EXPECTED when you're trying to explain to someone that
everything they've been encouraged their whole lives to
believe about something as entrenched and significant as the
income tax is basically nonsense. So here's a way to help
cut through the resistance:
Ask your listener how he or she would react if
you were to show an announcement from the Commissioner of
Internal Revenue admitting that the tax doesn't apply to the
earnings of most Americans and is misapplied most of the
time because people don't understand how it works? Or how
about if you showed a ruling from the Supreme Court saying
the same?
Now you just have to explain that
you're going to show exactly those things-- but because
the state really doesn't want people to know this, these
things haven't been said quite as forthrightly as we would
all wish. It's going to take a bit more work to take these
admissions in than is sufficient for just reading a press
release. But it'll be worth the effort...
IF YOU'RE NOT SPREADING THIS LINK with every bit of
energy you can, to school libraries, homeschool
families and community groups, your neighbors, your
family members, your pastors and
co-congregationalists, journalists, lawyers, CPAs,
members of congress, tax-agency workers, Wikipedia,
Anonymous, WikiLeaks, the Tax Foundation, everyone
in the "tax honesty" movement, the 9/11 truth
movement, other activist movements and everyone
else,
you have only yourself to blame for your
troubles with the tax, and a whole lot else of which
you might complain. It's on you.

explaining what will be seen at the link-- cryptic
is bad; excited is good-- and then send this WMI

adherence to the rule of law. Real American men and women stand up for the
truth and the law, come what may, knowing that it is only by setting the bar
at the top and enforcing it, come what may, that liberties are secured.

The FBI and CIA Are Enemies
of the American People
Ryan McMaken
Joe Rogan and Tucker
Carlson sat down for
a three-hour-plus discussion on the Joe Rogan
Show last week, covering everything from UFOs, to
religion and artificial intelligence. But perhaps
the most important topic they covered was the
insidious and dangerous role played by the US
regime’s intelligence agencies in America.
Specifically, Carlson
suggested the CIA continues to lobby for keeping the
JFK files secret, possibly because the CIA had a
role in the assassination. Tucker also brought up
how
the FBI’s second-in-command was responsible for
taking down Richard Nixon. Carlson described how
intelligence agencies hold immense power within
Congress because members of Congress—who are
generally disreputable people with many secrets—are
terrified of being blackmailed. After all, in a
post-Patriot Act world of nearly unrestrained spying
by the US regime, there is no privacy in America.
I’ll let you, dear readers,
listen to the full interview and make up your mind
for yourselves as to the details of the discussion.
What I want to highlight
here, however, is how remarkable it is that two
major media figures—Rogan and Carlson—are announcing
to their millions of listeners and readers that
organizations like the CIA and the FBI are
despicable agencies committed to undermining the
legal and constitutional institutions of the United
States.
This is long overdue.
Deep-state agencies like
the CIA and the FBI have for far too long been
considered reputable organizations just trying to
“keep us safe” or somehow defend the United States
from alleged foreign threats. Conservatives have
long been among the worst offenders. Libertarians
know this well, and have observed for decades the
breed of “small-government” conservatives who one
minute claim “the government can’t do anything
right” and then the next minute simp for “heroic”
CIA and FBI agents. People such as these have long
checked their critical thinking skills at the door
as soon as the discussion turns to the regime’s spy
agencies—or the Pentagon, for that matter. This is
not to say that Leftists are guiltless on this.
While historically it was the Left that actually
made some efforts to expose intelligence agencies
and their crimes in the 1970s, that is now ancient
history. The Left in 2024 has rarely met a regime
spook it didn’t like. This was made explicit last
month when Adam Westbrook and Lindsey Crouse
declared in The New York Times that “the
Deep State is actually kind of awesome.”
The job of opposing these
contemptible enemies of freedom at America’s
intelligence agencies—especially the FBI and CIA and
NSA—falls to the minority of Americans who actually
care about law and human rights enough to seek true
restraints on regime power. Those of us in this
minority must never miss an opportunity to
disparage, doubt, question, and generally express
loathing for these organizations and for every
single agent and employee at these agencies who
collects a taxpayer-funded salary.
A Danger for Many
Decades
Since at least the early
1960s, many have understood that the post-war
intelligence agencies have posed an especially
dangerous threat to the people of the United States.
For example, exactly one month after Kennedy’s
assassination—surely, just a coincidence!—former
president Harry Truman expressed alarm about the
CIA’s meddling in domestic affairs. He
wrote in The Washington Post: “For some time I
have been disturbed by the way CIA has been diverted
from its original assignment. It has become an
operational and at times a policy-making arm of the
Government. This has led to trouble and may have
compounded our difficulties in several explosive
areas. ...I never had any thought that when I set up
the CIA that it would be injected into peacetime
cloak and dagger operations.”
Then as now, however, The
Washington Post was an arm of the deep state and the
editor buried Truman’s op-ed on Page A11. The CIA
was outraged enough by the column, however, that CIA
director Allen Dulles lied and claimed that Truman
had been “quite
astounded“ when he saw his own article and that
the whole thing was really the work of a Truman
aide.
This bizarre attempt by CIA
operative to “retract” Truman’s article was
nonetheless contradicted by Truman himself who
reiterated in a 1964 letter that Truman had only
intended the CIA to be an informational service for
the president, and that “[I]t was not intended to
operate as an international agency engaged in
strange activities.” Truman would later tell an
interviewer that “[I]f I’d known what was going to
happen, I never would have [created the CIA.]”
Of course, Truman may have
known about many of the CIA’s “strange activities”
by the late 1950s, such as MKULTRA, and
related “mind control” experiments with LSD and
other drugs. The CIA was known to drug the agency’s
victims against their will, such as seven black
inmates in Kentucky who were
were fed “’double, triple and quadruple’ doses
of LSD for 77 straight days.” One might also mention
the very suspicious case of Frank Olson, a
bioweapons expert who was given LSD by CIA agents
without his knowledge. Olson later “fell” to his
death from a hotel window in 1953. The agency lied
about drugging Olson for 22 years.
The CIA faced some scrutiny
in the wake of the Vietnam war as the Left began to
rein in the deep state which had spent years
attempting to destroy American opponents of the war
through a variety of dirty tricks. Yet, the agency
had hardly been “reformed” by the time the US’s “war
on terror” was launched in late 2001. The CIA
returned to its illegal medical torture—assuming it
had ever stopped—with new medical experiments on
regime prisoners.
Documents uncovered by the ACLU have shown that
CIA doctors are still used to provide a veneer of
scientific legitimacy to CIA torture programs. In
the age of vaccine passports, this alliance between
doctors and the CIA should alarm any defender of
human rights.
In spite of all this, the
CIA continues to fail spectacularly at its original
mission of collecting useful information. The CIA
failed to see the Iranian Revolution coming. The CIA
was clueless about Soviet Missiles shipped to Cuba
in 1962. The CIA believed the Soviet Union was an
economic powerhouse in the 1980s. And, of course,
the CIA
let 9/11 happen right under its nose.
Given all this, even
conservative stalwarts have seen the light on the
CIA in recent years. The late Angelo Codevilla, for
example,
penned a 2020 article calling for “breaking up”
the CIA. The CIA, Codevilla notes, is now so
“ideologically partisan,” so “obsolete,” and its
record of failure so undeniable, that the agency is
now “inherently dangerous and low-value.”
TRUER WORDS have never been spoken than those in the
article above by Ryan McMaken about the evils and the FBI, the CIA (and
the NSA)-- especially McMaken's observation in his closing paragraph
that the best answer is "to eviscerate their budgets". Welcome to the
CtC
community, Ryan!
Well, I wish I really could say that
last part, but odds are that MacMaken, like everyone
else at Mises.org, has never heard of
CtC. If any of them have, they have probably
just "googled" my name, seen some of the
carefully-crafted misinformation posted about me and
my work by the Department of Justice for which the
FBI works directly and in tandem with the CIA and
the NSA, and turned away-- assuming in this one
instance that the government they normally assume to
be lying about everything for some reason isn't now
(just as McMaken wisely observes is often done by
so-called "small-government" conservatives in regard
to these agencies).
That obliviousness to CtC by folks like
McMaken really is a pity; were it otherwise he and
his widely-read associates would be aware of
presentations like,
'What
Life Is Like When The Truth Revealed In CtC Is
Widely Understood' in which the
Leviathan-shrinking outcome for which he calls in
regard to denizens of the Deep State are shown to be
not only achievable, but inevitable, under
easily-attainable circumstances.
As spelled out in this excerpt from
that essay, the changes from widespread
understanding of
CtC's revelations-- which would simply be a
reversion to the federal government as it was for
the first 140 years or its existence-- go right
where McMaken correctly suggests we need them, among
many other important areas:
ALL IN ALL, THE AMERICAN
PEOPLE are back to dealing with, and enjoying the
benefits of, a lean federal government once again
constrained to its core Constitutional purposes as
WE meant (and mean) them to be understood-- if only
because it hasn't got the resources to misbehave. We
are back to the government of the turn of the
twentieth century, when government at all levels
combined consumed less than 10% of our wealth, and
when it was observed that an American could go his
entire life without any contact with a federal
official other than the guy who delivered his mail.
At this point the federal
government takes in-- and spends no more than--
around $1 trillion or so annually. The amount is
rising as the overall economy grows ever-more
vigorous since being freed of the enormous drag of a
bloated non-productive sector and the crippling
distortions of constant political interference, but
it's proportion of the GDP is falling toward an
historical average of 4% or so. (This federal
revenue figure could and would adjust as needed if
America suffered a disaster of some kind, or got
invaded by a foreign power-- something so unlikely
as to be laughable, but which theoretically could
happen. In such a case the American people can be
relied upon to contribute whatever is necessary in
blood, sweat and treasure to deal with the
situation-- before once again closing their purses).
Perhaps $150 billion of
that notional $1 trillion is being spent on
maintaining our already enormous strategic
deterrent/response capability and keeping up an
appropriately-sized rapid-deployment defense force.
This is still more than any other country on the
planet spends on its military-- indeed, it's more
than double what Russia spent this year.
The tight-belted United
States has ended the expensive practice of
garrisoning troops all over the world by which you
and I subsidize the economies of foreigners by
sparing them the costs of defending themselves.
We're also done delivering enormous subsidies to the
munitions manufacturers simply to acquire a gross
excess of killing capability which ends up used to
murder people in other countries and generate
massive hatred toward you and I, the folks who had
allowed and paid for all of this.
The CIA has reverted from
being a secret parallel war department and returned
to intelligence-gathering and evaluation. Valueless,
expensive and obnoxious gestures like the TSA (which
demonstrably protects no one from anything except
convenience, comfort and courtesy when traveling)
have fallen by the wayside. Police departments are
no longer being militarized by donations from the
federal war machine of tanks, assault rifles,
grenades, drones, and other equipment.
Pity folks like McMaken don't have
friends or acquaintances that can bring
CtC to their attention.
HOWEVER, most all of you reading these
words are friends and acquaintances of other folks
who have the same concern about rogue agencies like
the FBI, CIA and NSA-- especially right now with the
outrageous reauthorization and expansion of Sec. 702
of the already unconstitutional FISA just
perpetrated by both Democrats and Republicans in
Congress. You can and should make those folks aware
of the
CtC solution to the problem of Leviathan.

EVEN AS ARDENT A STATIST as Abraham
Lincoln, in announcing his willingness to burn the Southern states to the ground in order to
keep them paying the tariff for the benefit of Northern interests in

"Peter Hendrickson has done it again! 'Upholding The
Law' does for individual liberties what 'Cracking the Code' did
for tax law compliance: exposes the reader to the unalienable
truth!"
-Jesse Herron, Bill Of Rights Press, Fort Collins, Colorado
Do you
know someone truly steeped in the Kool-Aid?
I mean
someone who finds it easier to believe that the far-better-educated,
far-more-suspicious-of-government Americans of a hundred years ago were
complete morons who granted authority to the state to take whatever it
wished from themselves and their posterity than to imagine that they
themselves simply misunderstand the true nature of the income tax? Even
while knowing that their beliefs about the tax are derived entirely from
the representations of those who profit from those beliefs (like tax
bureaucrats and "tax professionals")?
Do you
know someone like that? Shake them awake with the latest (sixteenth)
edition of
CtC!
If
CtC were actually
right, it would mean the government's been concealing and
denying and suppressing the truth for years
on end, and everybody knows THAT would never happen...
(Edward Snowden, come home! It was all just a bad dream; there really is
No Such Agency!)
Btw, a copy of
CtC from anywhere except the link above may not
be a current edition. CHECK. It matters. Also, there ARE no
e-book, Kindle or .pdf versions of
CtC.
Don't get taken in by efforts to sell you-- or even give you for
free-- any such thing.
May 7- In 1429, Joan of Arc wins her
first major military victory, ending the Siege of Orleans. In 1824, Beethoven's
Ninth Symphony premiers in Vienna. In 1915, the British ship Lusitania is sunk
by a German U-boat with Americans on board. The fact that the ship, which was
purportedly a passenger and non-military cargo ship, was actually carrying a
large load of munitions from the U.S. to Britain was kept from the civilians
encouraged to take passage by U.S. and British officials, despite specific
warnings from the German government that the ship would be viewed as a military
target. The expected sinking and loss of American lives were then used to
encourage popular and Congressional support for American entry into World War
I. In 1992, Michigan gets around to ratifying what then becomes the 27th
Amendment to the United States Constitution (barring mid-term Congressional pay
raises)-- 203 years after it was first submitted to the several states for
approval. In 1998, Mercedes-Benz buys Chrysler for $40 billion. In 2017, after
7 years of grossly-unjust imprisonment, United States war-crime whistleblower
Chelsea Manning was released from federal prison on a qualified commutation of
the remaining 28 years of his sentence by outgoing President Barak Obama 5
months before.

May 8- In 1886, John Pemberton invents Coca-Cola. In 1945,
combat in Europe ends with an unconditional German surrender in World War II.
In 1973, the American Indian Movement occupation of Pine Ridge Reservation at
Wounded Knee ends. In 1980, the World Health Organization declares smallpox
eradicated (except for the supplies being kept for possible future deployment by
the United States military, and possibly the Russian Federation, as well...).

PRO TIP: If I were the IRS and I wanted to
discourage people from rebutting allegations that
they had done things I can tax, and wanted to keep them from
successfully reclaiming withheld or paid-in money, I
would salt the "tax honesty" community with
passionate-seeming "legal researchers" who would
warn anyone whose ear they captured that filing a
1040 is a bad idea for one reason or another...

Illuminating Anniversaries of this week:
May 9- In 1941, the British navy captures a German submarine
containing an 'Enigma' cryptography machine, allowing the Allies to decrypt
coded German messages. In 1945, Vidkun Quisling, who had been installed as
Premier of Norway after the country had been invaded and occupied by Germany, is
arrested. He would later be executed for treason. In 1960, the US Food and
Drug Administration approves the first oral contraceptive. In 1970, between
75,000 and 100,000 Americans gather in front of the White House protesting the
war in Vietnam. In 1974, formal impeachment proceedings against Richard Nixon
for offenses stemming from a warrantless surveillance scheme begin in the House
of Representatives. In 2004, Chechen president Akhmad Kadyrov is assassinated
during a World War II memorial parade.
If you're not talking this one up everywhere and
helping generate a buzz, you don't really want liberty and the
rule of law...

In light of
the actual evidence, those
who doubt or
deny the accuracy and correctness of
CtC just because some government officials
denounce it are like the 16th-century Europeans who
were mystified by
Copernicus getting all those
astronomical predictions right even though the
church had said he was wrong.

May 10- In 1768, John Wilkes is imprisoned for writing
an article critical of King George III. The arrest prompts a riot by
his supporters. In 1775, the Second Continental Congress convenes in
Philadelphia. In 1801, the Barbary Pirates of Tripoli declare war on
the United States of America after newly-inaugurated President Thomas
Jefferson decided to stop paying them the tribute they had been
receiving from previous administrations. In 1869, the Lincoln
administration's transcontinental railroad is completed when the Central
Pacific and Union Pacific railroad lines meet in Promontory Summit,
Utah. The Union Pacific organization had built west from Council
Bluffs, Iowa (a spot which was, at the time of selection, 150 miles from
the nearest existing rail line, but which offered Lincoln personal
political and financial benefits); Central had built east from
Sacramento. Both rail lines were heavily subsidized with land grants
and were made subject to permanent significant federal control, as were
a number of other smaller lines contracted to construct feeders from
major terminal cities along the way. In 1994, Nelson Mandela is
inaugurated as president of South Africa after spending 27 years in
prison for "crimes against the state", which included a campaign of
sabotage against military and civilian government targets, and the
making of plans for a guerilla war against the government. In 2012,
terrorists supported by the United States detonated two suicide car
bombs outside government buildings in Damascus, Syria, killing 55 and
injuring 400. Some voices challenge that assignment of responsibility,
claiming that the Assad regime carried out the bombings itself as a
false-flag operation designed to justify the regime's past and future
actions. But everyone knows THAT kind of thing never happens, right?

May 11- In 1310, 54 members of the Knights Templar are
burned at the stake as heretics, having been tortured into confessions to
this effect by on the orders of King Philip IV of France, who was deeply in
debt to the order, and saw the charges as a way of eliminating this problem
and allowing the seizure of Templar assets, to boot . In 1858, Minnesota
becomes the 32nd of the several states, and is admitted into the union as
such. In 1973, charges against Daniel Ellsberg for releasing "the Pentagon
Papers", a 7,000-page top-secret United States government report about the
history of the Government's internal planning and policy concerning the
Vietnam War, are dismissed.

Last Word
"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude
greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We
seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that
feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you; and may posterity forget
that ye were our countrymen."

Adams, Architect of the first American Revolution

Hendrickson is also a widely-read essayist on
matters of politics, public policy and law; many of these works
are collected in his second book, Upholding
the Law And Other Observations. He is a member of Mensa;
an
award-winning artist; and has paid his dues as a youth
soccer coach. He is a long-time political activist as well, and
has served as co-chair and platform convention delegate of
Michigans largest county Libertarian Party organization; as a
consultant to the National Right to Work Foundation and Citizens
for a Sound Economy; as a member of the Heartland Institute; and
as a member of the International Society for Individual
Liberty. He is a frequent radio-show guest on stations across
the country.
Hendrickson's business career has included nearly a
decade-and-a-half at the leading edge of the renewable-energy
industry, both as Director of Purchasing and Materials
Management and member of the R&D board at Starpak Energy
Systems, the mid-west's then-largest solar heating and
energy-recovery-and re-utilization company; and as founder and
president of AFJ Inc., a high-efficiency lighting design,
manufacture and installation firm.
Beginning in the mid-1990s and continuing for the
twelve years before his present full-time focus on the
restoration of the rule of law in America, Hendrickson directed
purchasing activities for the $84 million-a-year
multi-family-housing division of the Farmington Hills, Michigan
branch of Edward Rose and Sons, with responsibility for 18,000+
apartments, direct supervision of 35 technicians and agents, and
incidental authority over several hundred divisional workers.
He also ran the division's 10 cable television earth-station and
distribution systems in four states, and designed and
administered the company's website.
On rather the other end of the spectrum, amidst
these more mundane pursuits Hendrickson co-founded and was the
primary creative force behind a small
board- and
card-game company that enjoyed a modest success for several
years.
Hendrickson makes his home in southeast Michigan,
with his wife and two children. He is currently working on his
next book.
