To achieve the distinct ‘fat’ quality of these drums, we turned to some truly legendary equipment. Each sample was processed through a Neve 1073 preamp, a piece of gear renowned for its ability to add warmth and presence. Then, to capture that rich, analog feel, we recorded everything on a Studer A800 tape machine.
